Widbrook United Football Club

The Ameir Foundation went to Zanzibar

In January 2020, one of our players in the U12 girls team, and her mum Kerri Noon, asked if we had any unused kits at the club, that we could donate to a newly formed foundation that was close to their hearts.

"Make people smile with a touch of kindness"

In January 2020, one of our players in the U12 girls team, and her mum Kerri Noon, asked if we had any unused kits at the club, that we could donate to a newly formed foundation that was close to their hearts. As a club we obliged and within days Widbrook United FC had donated some unused football kits to The Ameir Foundation. These football kits were taken to Zanzibar, East Africa, by the Foundation founder Nawaf Ameir, where they were issued to young children at ICLA Nursery and Primary school, and also to the local mens team.

The Ameir foundations moto is "Make people smile with a touch of kindness", and this is truly what this foundation, and everyone involved has done. Widbrook United, and our young club player and her mum are very proud to have been able to help, and to have had such an impact on these peoples lives that live so far away. We thank The Ameir Foundation for there dedication to helping others, and look forward to future projects together.
